Hi, from a recent blood report, my eGFR was 80 and creatinine was 0.92. I have no discomfort or pain during urination. Is there any cause for concern? Should I consult a urologist? I am a 36 year old Indian female.

No concern. EGFR of 80 is good for your age. Creatinine 0.92 is normal. No signs of kidney dysfunction. No need to see a urologist unless other symptoms develop.
Dr. Shaik Suggests...
Take a eGFR Test (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate) Test or Take a Creatinine Test Test

View allMy father is 65 years old and is suffering from hernia. The doctor has advised surgery. During the pre operative examination, his creatinine level was found to be 2.3, and we were advised to consult a nephrologist for further evaluation. Does this creatinine level indicate kidney failure? If yes, to what extent, and how can it be managed? Also, can we safely proceed with the hernia operation? For context, he has diabetes, but his blood pressure and sugar levels are under control.

Hi, please suggest based on the below symptoms and test report. A 64 year old female has creatinine 1.19, phosphorus 4.41, potassium 5.40, and chloride 110.00, all high. HbA1c is 6.2 and fasting sugar is 131, which is high. TSH is 2.88 and controlled. ESR is 16 and C reactive protein is 3.82. Historically, she is taking Telvas 40 for high blood pressure and Eltroxine 100 mg for thyroid, which is controlled in the current report. She was previously diagnosed with high ESR around 90 and high C reactive protein, but this time both are controlled. Please suggest what action should be taken?

Sir, my father is 46 years old and has diabetes. His blood pressure is 130/40 mmHg. In his recent test, his creatinine is 1.3 mg/dL. Can this be reduced, or is it a permanent condition?
