View allI've had back pain for over 4 years and struggle with bending or sitting for long. Sometimes the pain gets so bad it even affects my breathing. My MRI showed a bulging disk at L4 and doctors recommended surgery, but I'm really nervous about going under the knife. Are there any other treatment options I could try first?

My mom fell off her scooty on November 28th because of sudden brakes. The 3D CT scan showed a hairline fracture on her right frontal bone. Will this heal on its own or does she need surgery? It's December 1st now and she seems normal except for swelling on her forehead, lips, and black eyes. A dental surgeon said medicines should help but advised consulting a neurosurgeon. What do you suggest?
Have to see the scans and condition of patient directly . Consult neurosurgeon personally.

I've been diagnosed with L5 S1 disc protrusion pressing on a nerve and I'm having pain in my right buttock along with numbness in my right thigh. Is surgery the only option or can this heal on its own with other treatments? The pain and numbness are really bothering me and I'm worried about long-term damage
Disc protrusion can improve with rest, physiotherapy, and medication. Surgery is needed if pain persists or worsens neurological symptoms.
