View allMy brother has been dealing with chronic pancreatitis for the past 4-5 years. Every time he gets treated, doctors find his lipase and amylase levels are abnormally high. They manage it with drips and painkillers until he stabilizes, then slowly reintroduce his diet. This cycle keeps repeating. Is there any permanent solution whether it's medication, surgery, or even an organ transplant? He doesn't drink or use any drugs, and he's just a regular student. What options do we have to stop this from happening again?
Chronic pancreatitis has very limited Treatment options. What is the mri/ mrcp findings. If pancreatic duct is large then it can be diverted ( operated). Other wise there is no specific treatment except pain management. For pain management various options including nerve blocks can be tried.

I've been having this weird fluttering feeling under my left rib cage and I'm not sure what it might be. On top of that, I've been constantly bloated for the past month no matter what I eat or if I don't eat at all. It's really uncomfortable, and I'm dealing with constipation every now and then too. Is there anything I can do to help with this?
It sounds like you might be dealing with digestive issues like bloating, constipation, or possibly even something like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). To ease the symptoms, try eating smaller meals, drinking plenty of water, and considering foods that are easier to digest. If it persists, its a good idea to consult with a doctor for further evaluation.

I've been feeling a small lump on the left side of my body just below the rib cage. It's not visible but I can feel it when I touch that area. It sometimes causes a bit of discomfort, although most of the time I don't really notice it. It's been there for six months now and hasn't changed in size, which is a bit concerning. I've also gained some weight over the last year, going from 55 to 70, and I don't smoke or drink. Is this something I should be worried about?
It is important to consider various possibilities. One potential cause could be a lipoma, which is a noncancerous growth of fat cells. Another possibility could be a benign cyst or a hernia. However, without a physical examination and possibly imaging studies, it is difficult to provide a definitive diagnosis. I recommend you consult with a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation.
