I accidentally got some dettol on my forehead today, and now I've got this dark mark. It doesnt hurt or anything, but it just looks terrible. I'm already getting treatment for pimples, but my doctor is out of town. Can you tell me how long it might take for this mark to heal?

You can apply an antibiotic ointment like Silverex cream twice a day to prevent infection. Additionally, you can use a scar removal gel like Contractubex to help reduce the appearance of the dark mark. It usually takes about 1-2 weeks for minor burns to heal, but the dark mark may take longer to fade. Make sure to protect the area from sun exposure to prevent further darkening of the mark.

I'm a bit concerned because I've had dark spots on my feet for the past 5 years. There's no pain or other health issues that I've noticed over the years. Could you help me understand why this might be happening?

Can be due to various reasons such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun exposure, or even certain medical conditions. To help lighten these dark spots, you can try using a topical cream containing hydroquinone or kojic acid. Apply a thin layer on the affected areas once daily. Additionally, wearing sunscreen on your feet daily can prevent further darkening of the spots.

Having vitiligo for the past 16 years on my legs, palms, feet, penile area, chest, etc., and I regularly use Vitiskin, Topcort, and Topgraf. Do you think these treatments are effective in managing it? Should I be doing anything differently or trying out other treatments? It's been such a long time, and I'm a bit concerned about the spread and whether I'm on the right track with these products. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have keloids on my body and I'm really worried about them. Is there any way to treat them without surgery? Are there creams or other options that can help reduce them? Also, are these treatments easily available in India?

Yes, there are several ways to treat keloids without surgery, and many of these options are available in India. These include topical treatments like silicone gels and creams, corticosteroid injections, laser therapy, and in some cases, cryotherapy. While these methods can help improve the appearance and reduce symptoms like itching, they may not completely eliminate the keloid.
