I am a 38 years old married female with a 6 years old child. I have attached my recent T3, T4, and TSH test report. I am not getting periods for the last 5 months. UPT is negative. I have excessive swelling of the abdomen, hands, and legs. Please advise, which specialist should I consult? I am on thyroxine 100 mg and I am a thyroid patient for the last 15 years.

This could suggest hypothyroidism related fluid retention or early menopause. Prolonged amenorrhea with swelling should be evaluated by an endocrinologist and gynecologist to rule out hormonal imbalance or organ dysfunction. Please repeat the thyroid panel and add FSH/LH.
Dr. Shaik Suggests...
Take a Thyroid Profile (T3 T4 TSH) Test Test or Take a FSH and LH Test Test

View allMy mother is 60 years old and has been taking Eltroxin 75 mcg for the past two months, as her TSH was 5.00 at that time. Prior to that, she had been taking Eltroxin 50 mcg for the last ten years. She recently had a thyroid test and the results are: T3: 0.90 ng/mL T4: 9.30 microgram/dL TSH: 16.23 mIU/L I do not understand why her TSH has increased so significantly despite taking her medication regularly. Please advise what steps we should take now.

I want to know if I need to seriously consult an endocrinologist as I have low TSH level of 0.17. I am also attaching a screenshot of my blood report. Please suggest what to do next? Thanks in advance.

Hi sir, I have been undergoing treatment for MDR TB and have been regularly taking all prescribed medications as per my doctor instructions. These include Monopas, Ethio 250, Mycotuf C 250 mg, Levofloxacin, Benadon, Sompraz D, and Clotas EH. My recent chest X ray report shows that the left hilar shadow appears prominent. However, my blood test results are mostly normal, except for an elevated TSH level of 7.080, for which I take one tablet of Thyrox 100 daily. Please let me know what the prominent hilar shadow on the chest X ray might indicate and what steps should be taken next.
