I am diabetic with an HbA1c level of 7.6 H. My liver function tests show SGPT 60.5 H, ALP 50.2 L, and SGOT 49.7 H. The hepatitis B surface antigen test is reactive. Ultrasound shows the liver is normal in size and shape, but has grade one fatty changes. My HBV DNA quantitative by real time PCR is 116801, and HBeAg is 0.25. My doctor diagnosed me with hepatitis B, but did not prescribe any medication. I am a little confused about my condition and would appreciate an explanation to help clear my doubts. I have provided the test results above.

Liver enzymes are slightly high, could be from fatty liver or Hepatitis B. Your viral load is present but not very high. Regular monitoring of liver function is key even without medication. Raised HbsAg could also mean previous infection or immunity, regular monitoring with diet and exercise is enough.
