I am having UTI for the last 25 days and now my urine report shows presence of epithelial cells 1 to 2 per hpf and pus cells 5 to 6 per hpf. I have already taken levofloxacin for 20 days as per doctors advice. Kindly suggest what to do now? I was also recently detected with diabetes. My age is 69 years male.

Persistent UTI with diabetes needs further testing. A urine culture can help find the right medicine. Keep sugar levels in check to help recovery.

Dr. Vasanthasree Suggests...

Take a URINE ROUTINE + CULTURE SENSITIVITY Test or Take a Fasting & PP Blood Sugar with Smart Report Test

As soon as I drink water, it becomes urine within half an hour, and I feel the urge to go to the bathroom very often. I feel like my body is not absorbing the water properly and it goes straight into my bladder. I also feel pain due to frequent urination. This problem becomes worse when I masturbate or have sex. I sometimes feel itching and moisture near that area, even though I keep it clean. Earlier, when I went to the hospital for this problem, there was a minor UTI in the test report, and the doctor prescribed antibiotics. Now, I am not sure if it is the same problem this time or something else. If it is the same, I want to know why it keeps happening and what I can do to prevent it? Thanks in advance for helping me clear my doubts.

Dear Doctors, my mother is 50 years old. She has been suffering from a urine infection for the last two and a half months and she also has diabetes. Even after regular checkups, her sugar levels are not under control and they fluctuate daily. Because of this her urine infection has not recovered. Please suggest what to do in this case. She feels very tired all the time and can only walk with support. She was admitted to the hospital for two weeks but the urine infection is still not resolved. I am attaching her urine report for reference. Please guide us with the best way to manage these problems as I want my mother to be active again.

I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend the first time and now she is my wife. She has ovarian cysts and yeast infection. After some time I suffered from fever, swollen glands, and swollen and painful testicles. Next I did an HIV report, which was negative. Next I did HIV 1 and 2 and p24 antigen tests which was 0.06 and the USG report of whole abdomen showed some infarction of bladder cystitis. Sir please tell me am I affected by HIV or other STD? What type of blood report should I do next? Please suggest me.
