I am taking Thyronorm 75 mg for thyroid. In my current thyroid blood report, T3 is 86 ng/dl, T4 is 6 ng/dl, and TSH is 10.65 nIU/ml. My TSH is high. What should I do to control TSH, and do I need to increase my tablet from 75 mg to 100 mg? I am also very lean. Is this due to thyroid? Please suggest how I can gain some weight?

TSH is still high, so your doctor may increase dose to 100 mcg. Being lean could be unrelated, but thyroid imbalance may contribute.

View allMy wife has been suffering from hypothyroidism for the past two months. Her TSH increased after taking medication for a month (50 mcg Eltroxine). The doctor has suggested increasing the dosage to 100 mcg for two months before doing another blood test. She has also been advised to follow a low glycemic diet. I want to get a second opinion?

I recently got my thyroid checked for the first time. My report shows T4 slightly higher than the reference range by 0.1. Should I consult a doctor for this?
