I got some iron pieces stuck in my forehead and I'm worried about how much it would cost to remove them through surgery. Can you give me an idea of the expenses involved?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
The cost to remove iron pieces from the forehead through surgery can vary significantly depending on factors like the size and location of the pieces, the complexity of the surgery, and the specific hospital or clinic. Generally, expect costs for the surgery itself, anesthesia, and possible follow-up care

View allMy mom has an 8mm brain aneurysm on the left side but she's totally fine walks 2km daily and does all her housework. The doctor recommended clipping surgery, but since she has no symptoms now, I'm worried about the risks and success rate. Should we go ahead with the surgery?
Whether to proceed with surgery for an unruptured brain aneurysm, like your mom's 8mm one, is a complex decision. While the aneurysm is currently asymptomatic and your mom is active, the potential for rupture is a significant risk to consider. A ruptured aneurysm can cause a stroke, which can lead to severe neurological damage and long-term complications.

My MRI report shows diffuse disc bulge at L4-L5 and L5-S1 with foraminal protrusion, annular tears, and nerve compression. The canal is narrowed to 9.4mm at L5-S1. Can this be managed with physiotherapy and exercise, or is surgery necessary? I'm worried about the nerve compression and whether conservative treatment would be enough.
It's understandable to be concerned about the nerve compression and whether physiotherapy and exercise are enough for your L4-L5 and L5-S1 disc bulges, especially with the narrowed canal at L5-S1. While physiotherapy is often the first line of treatment, surgical intervention might be necessary depending on the severity of your symptoms and the effectiveness of conservative approaches

I had spine surgery at L2-L3 and L4-L5 levels two years ago but now I'm getting really bad pain in my lower left back could this be related to my previous surgery or something new going on?
Discectomy is advised to the patient.
