I had a 6 mm kidney stone earlier and suffered severe pain with it. After drinking a lot of water, the stone passed into the urinary bladder and eventually the pain disappeared. Now after 6 months, I have dark colored urine and my report shows 15 to 20 red blood cells per high power field, but I have no pain and no fever. The urine culture report is negative. What might be the problem?

Microscopic hematuria may persist after stone passage. No pain or infection signs is reassuring. Keep hydrated. If RBCs persist beyond 1 to 2 weeks, consult a urologist for further evaluation.
