I had a fever last week and also a cough for about three days. For the past three mornings, I've been noticing blood in my sputum for about 5 to 10 minutes, then nothing the rest of the day. I still have an occasional cough. Should I be worried about this? I've attached my chest X-ray and CBC. Could you take a look and let me know?

The presence of blood in your sputum, known as hemoptysis, can have various causes such as infections, inflammation, or more serious conditions like pneumonia, bronchitis, or even pulmonary embolism. Considering your symptoms and test results, I recommend a course of antibiotics to treat any underlying infection. Additionally, an antitussive medication can help with your cough. It is crucial to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

I was just diagnosed with asthma, and I'm a bit worried. Is this something that could be temporary? I'm the only one in my family with it, and I never smoke. I used to do a lot of exercise outside in the cold mornings before, could that be why I'm experiencing this?

Asthma is a chronic airway disease. Yes ,in winter season the asthma gets aggrevated.

I'm really worried about my dad. He's a smoker and he's got issues with sugar and BP. He came down with a bad fever and weakness over the last five days, but the tests didnt show dengue or typhoid. After admitting him to the hospital, he suddenly started having trouble breathing, was sweating a lot, and his oxygen levels dropped. The doctor had to move him to the ICU and put him on a ventilator. They said he's got pneumonia and his left lung is affected. They took a sample for a culture report, but thats going to take 35 days. He's been on the ventilator for the last 20 hours, but theres no improvement. His BP also dropped, but they managed to control it with a high dose of meds. We're all quite anxious and I'm just trying to understand what the recovery process might look like from here. Could you shed some light on what we should expect or do next?

Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.

I've been dealing with a cough for nearly two years, and about three months ago, my doctor sent me for Blood IgE, PFT, and FENO tests. Based on my IgE results, I finished a course of allergy tablets, and I was also prescribed Esiflo, which I'm supposed to take with Lupihaler. I initially felt dizzy on this medication, so I stopped after a couple of days, but I've restarted at a reduced dose. Should I keep taking Esiflo even though it makes me feel uncomfortable? And looking at my PFT and FENO reports, do they suggest if my lungs are in bad shape? I'm also experiencing some shortness of breath and chest heaviness lately. I can't reach my doctor right now, so I'd really appreciate some insight. Thank you.

Yes,continue same treatment as advised.
