I had a fistulectomy surgery three months ago and everything seems fully healed now, but I'm wondering about the proper way to clean the anal area during stool passing do you need to insert a finger inside to clean it? Just wanted to check what's safe post-surgery

After fistulectomy, gentle cleaning with water is sufficient. No need to insert fingers unless advised. Maintain hygiene to prevent recurrence.

General anesthesia might be considered in some cases, like complex situations or if you're anxious. Laser surgery is generally less painful than traditional surgery and offers a faster recovery
