I had an ultrasound 5 years ago that showed two small gallstones in my gallbladder. Now I've had another ultrasound because I've been having trouble digesting food, and it says my gallbladder is collapsed. I never had surgery to remove it, so why would it show up as collapsed? What does this mean for my digestion issues?

A contracted or collapsed gallbladder, even without a prior surgical removal, can be caused by various factors, including chronic inflammation, gallstones, or the inability of the gallbladder to contract and release bile. While the ultrasound finding might suggest a gallbladder issue, it's essential to correlate it with your digestive symptoms and other diagnostic tests to determine the underlying cause and its impact on your digestion

View allI'm a bit worried and curious if there's any connection between not masturbating for a while and having stomach issues like acid reflux. I've been experiencing acid reflux and thought maybe it's linked to this. Is there any harm in masturbation related to this, or is it okay if I start again since it's been tough to resist?
There is no direct link between masturbation and acid reflux. Masturbation is a normal activity and, in general, doesnt cause digestive issues like acid reflux. If you're experiencing acid reflux, it may be related to diet, stress, or other factors. If you feel the urge, its fine to engage in the activity in moderation, but focusing on managing your reflux through lifestyle changes and medical advice may help more with your symptoms.

I'm experiencing pain when I touch the area under my ribs near my chest, and it's been going on for about a month now. What could this be? Is there any medication or home remedies you recommend? My chest X-ray came back clear, so should I be considering any other tests? Let me know your thoughts, please.

I've been having some pretty bad gastric issues lately. There's a lot of gas, and my blood pressure is up at 180100. It's been going on for the last 24 hours, and my ECG came back abnormal. I'm also experiencing severe pain in my epigastric area. What could be going on with me? What should I do next?
Given your symptoms of severe epigastric pain, high blood pressure (180100 mmHg), and an abnormal ECG, it is important to seek immediate medical attention. These symptoms could indicate a serious condition such as a cardiac event or severe gastrointestinal issue like a peptic ulcer or acute pancreatitis. Go to the nearest emergency room or contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible for a thorough evaluation and appropriate treatment.
