I have been experiencing burning after urination for the past 10 months. The problem is intermittent, sometimes it resolves for a few days and then comes back. Earlier, a culture test showed UTI, and I was treated with antibiotics. Along with burning, I also sometimes have frequent urination. My doctor did a rectal exam and said this is chronic prostatitis. I am currently taking Flotral and will be starting Urispas from today. A KUB ultrasound has also been advised again (the last one, about 7 months ago, only showed mild segmentation). Please suggest what I should do next.

Burning after urination with intermittent frequency can occur in chronic prostatitis, as your doctor mentioned. Continuing Flotral and Urispas as advised is appropriate. A KUB ultrasound is good to recheck for stones or prostate changes. If symptoms persist, a Urine Culture and PSA test may help in further evaluation. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol and spicy foods to reduce irritation.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a Urine Culture Test Test or Take a PSA Test (Prostatic Specific Antigen) Test

View allHi I am having pain in my stomach for the last few weeks. I took medication but did not recover much. I am still having mild but continuous pain in my lower abdomen and frequent pain in my penis. The pain gets worse if I do not have water for half an hour or more. I have attached my report. Can you please help me to know if there is any case of stone or urine infection and why my pain is not relieved?

My mother has been experiencing night sweats, occasional fever, and anorexia for a few days. Her urine report shows bacteria presence, and her blood report is attached.

For the past 7 to 8 days, I have been experiencing a slight increase in the frequency of urination. It is not severe and does not interfere with my daily routine, but I do feel the urge to pass urine more often than usual. My urine test came back normal Ultrasound showed mild bladder wall thickening (5mm) I have also attached my uroflowmetry report for your review My average daily water intake is around 1 to 2 liters Could you please review the attached reports and advise if there is anything to be concerned about or if any further evaluation or treatment is needed?
