Question
I have been having repeated CBC tests over the past 9 months. My WBC count has consistently been between 12,500 to 14,000 and platelets between 100,000 to 150,000, but on two occasions when I had a peripheral blood smear, the report was normal. Tests for HCV, HBsAg, RBC, HIV, Dengue, VDRL, MP, and Vidal were all normal. I do not have any significant symptoms. Could you please advise what I should do going forward? Can I consider myself healthy, or is there a need for further investigation?

Elevated WBC and low platelets over 9 months may need further evaluation, especially if persistent. Since peripheral smear is normal and no symptoms are present, continue monitoring under medical supervision.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a PERIPHERAL SMEAR Test
