I have a blood sugar of 6.8. What should I do?
If HBA1C is 6.8% then it is considered to be Diabetes and you need to consult a Physician.
Leading a better lifestyle in the form of avoiding excessive sugar/ fats, high fibre foods, breaking sedentary life and regular physical activity helps in lowering the blood sugar levels.
Diabetes when uncontrolled can cause sudden increase in blood sugar level causing an emergency called Diabetic ketoacidosis which can be life threatening if not treated in time. Also, long standing Diabetes may lead to organ damage which can be fatal.

With time, raised blood sugar levels can damage the blood vessels and nerves that control the heart. Additionally, people with diabetes are also more likely to have other conditions that raise the risk for heart disease/ stroke such as high blood pressure and deranged cholesterol or triglyceride levels.
Physical exercise lowers blood glucose levels and blood pressure, improves blood flow, burns extra calories so you can keep your weight down if needed, improves your mood, can prevent falls and improve memory in older adults, may help you sleep better. Start exercising after speaking to a doctor, start slowly and increase. Few types are walking briskly or hiking, climbing stairs, swimming or a water-aerobics class, dancing, riding a bicycle or a stationary bicycle, taking an exercise class, playing basketball, tennis, or other sports
