I have a prescription of -5 in my left eye and -4.5 in my right eye with 2.5 astigmatism in both eyes. Would I be a good candidate for LASIK? I'm really concerned about potential side effects like bad night vision, halos, and chronic dry eye after the surgery how likely are these to happen? What are the success rates for someone with my prescription? Could LASIK actually get me to a point where I don't need glasses anymore?

I've had this stye on my lower left eyelid for weeks now. The doctor gave me antibiotics for 3 days and told me to use warm compresses, but it hasn't gotten any better. She mentioned an incision might be needed if it doesn't improve, but I'm really scared of any kind of eye surgery. Are there other options besides surgery to treat this stye? While C3R can be performed with thinner corneas, it's crucial to maintain a minimum corneal thickness after the procedure to avoid complications like ectasia. Generally, a minimum stromal thickness of 330 microns is recommended.
