I have recently received the results of a finger prick blood test from Thriva. Most of my results were normal, but most of my liver function tests could not be processed. My bilirubin level came back within normal range at 6.0 umol/l. I received a high ferritin result at 323 ug/l. Could high ferritin levels still indicate a problem with my liver even if bilirubin levels are within normal range? I am a 42 year old female.

Yes, elevated ferritin may signal liver inflammation even if bilirubin is normal. It can also reflect metabolic or iron storage issues. Please take a Liver Function Test (LFT) and Iron studies with transferrin saturation.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test or Take a Thyroid Profile (T3 T4 TSH) Test Test
