Are there any specific instructions to follow before taking this test? Also, if the blood is drawn on the third day of the menstrual period, will it affect the results? CA 125 is mainly used to monitor ovarian cancer but can rise in benign conditions too. Menstrual phase can slightly affect results. Day 3 sample is acceptable.
