I've been diagnosed with a diffuse annular disc bulge at L4-L5 causing thecal sac indentation and bilateral recess narrowing with nerve compression. My doctor mentioned endoscopic discectomy but I'm not sure if it's really necessary will this procedure actually provide a permanent fix or are there other options I should consider first?

My mom has severe leg pain and can barely walk due to compressed spinal veins seen on her MRI. The report says she has L4-L5 disk degeneration with nerve root compression and grade I anterolisthesis. Physiotherapy didn't help is surgery the only option left and how safe is it
