I have two kidney stones. My ultrasound scan shows a 10.3 mm stone in the right kidney and a 6.3 mm stone in the left kidney. The scan also notes mildly increased renal parenchymal echogenicity, suggesting medical renal disease, with bilateral non obstructing calculi. My urine and blood tests show a creatinine level of 1.65 mg/dL, urea of 31.9 mg/dL, blood urea nitrogen of 14.9 mg/dL, and protein 1. I would like to understand what this means for my kidney health and what steps I should take next.

Your kidney stones are moderate in size and creatinine is slightly elevated, suggesting reduced kidney function. Drink plenty of water, avoid salt and animal protein, and consult a urologist for further management.
