I just got my liver function test results back, and it says my alkaline phosphatase is at 133.8 UL, but the normal range is between 38.0 to 94.0. Should I be worried about this high level? What could it mean for my health?

Traveling after IVF transfer can be a concern.

General Guidelines

  1. Avoid heavy travel: For 2-3 days after IVF transfer, minimize travel to reduce physical stress.
  2. Smooth roads preferred: If you must travel, opt for smooth roads to minimize bumps and jolts.

Road Conditions and Travel

  1. Bad roads may not be ideal: Avoid traveling on very bad roads, as the constant jolting can cause discomfort and potentially dislodge the embryo.
  2. Short distances might be okay: If you must travel on bad roads, short distances (less than 2 hours) might be manageable, but exercise caution.

Precautions

  1. Wear a seatbelt: Ensure your safety and the embryo's by wearing a seatbelt.
  2. Avoid bumpy roads: If possible, take an alternate route with smoother roads.
  3. Stay hydrated and comfortable: Drink plenty of water, and try to relax during the journey.

Consult Your IVF Specialist

It's essential to follow your IVF specialist's specific advice, as they understand your individual situation and treatment plan.

Remember, it's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to your IVF treatment and the health of your embryo.

I've been having this chronic dry mouth and really bad breath, so my general physician suggested an Upper G.I Endoscopy and some other tests. Everything else like stool and urine tests came back normal, but the Endoscopy showed I've got mild antral gastritis. I went to see a gastroenterologist and took the prescribed meds for about three weeks, but sadly, there's been no improvement. Can you recommend any medicines or treatments specifically for mild antral gastritis? I'm really looking for some relief here.

Kindly continue the same medicine given by gastroenterologist for one more week if it is still not reduced kindly consult your respective gastroenterologist.

I'm having this really uncomfortable pain in my chest whenever I eat or drink, and it's been going on for a couple of days now. Could you tell me what might be causing this and suggest some ways to ease the pain?

I have a 31mm gall bladder calculus but my gallbladder wall thickness and CBD are normal. Is it possible to treat this without surgery? If I do get surgery, will the stones come back again?

Yes, it's possible to treat a 31mm gallbladder calculus without surgery, and the likelihood of stones returning after surgery varies. While surgical removal (cholecystectomy) is often the preferred treatment for symptomatic gallstones, non-surgical options like medication or percutaneous cholangioscopy may be considered. The risk of gallstones returning after surgery is low if the gallbladder is removed.
