I recently found out I have typhoid and I'm on medication for it, but I've also lost almost 8 kgs of weight. Is this something that's normal with typhoid, or should I be worried about this weight loss?

I'm feeling really confused and worried right now. I had a fever and took a paracetamol tablet at night, then ended up sweating a lot. I thought it might be some reaction to the tablet, but the next morning I woke up feeling really cold. I decided to go to the hospital, and the consultant told me its because of viral fever. Ive always thought that the main symptom of a viral infection would be a runny nose. Am I wrong about that? I got a blood test done, and the results were all normal, but the doctor still wants me to come back in two days to check my platelets. What do you think is going on?

I'm feeling really worried because I've been experiencing something like an internal fever. My palms and feet are constantly burning, and I'm not sure what's going on. What could be causing this, and should I be concerned?

You may need investigations such as CBC to rule out infections. You may require antipyretics or antiinflammatory medication. In the mean time, avoid cold food and water, do not skip meals and opt for a softer diet before progressing to heavier foods and increase intake of vitamin C rich foods such as citric fruits. Drink plenty of fluids and take sufficient rest.

I'm also running a fever. I'm really worried about what's going on. Can you please give me some advice on what this might be and what I should do?
