I recently underwent a 61 point detailed health checkup. Most of my results were within the normal range, except for bilirubin in the liver function test, which came out to 2.53 mg/dL (normal range: 0 to 2.0 mg/dL).

Bilirubin 2.53 is mildly high. Other LFT normal? No symptoms? Not urgent. Could be dehydration, fasting, or Gilberts. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol. Repeat LFT in 2 weeks. If bilirubin rises or symptoms appear, see doctor.

What is SGOT? For me it is showing 42 IU/L which is more than normal in my report. Please explain whether I have any problem? It stands for serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase?
