I recently underwent urine analysis and urine culture. The report mentions only commensals grown. Could you please explain what this means? Is my report considered normal? Additionally, I have a wound at the meatus and would like to know if this is related or something I should be concerned about.

Commensal growth means no infection, just normal urinary bacteria. If you have burning or pain due to a wound near the urinary opening, it could be mechanical or fungal. Keep the area clean, avoid friction, and monitor for pus or fever.

Urine report shows pus cells 8 to 10 per hpf, red cells occasional per hpf and epithelial cells 15 to 20 per hpf. Please advise the interpretation and further management?

My urine culture report showed an infection, and I was prescribed Taxim and Urispas by a doctor. While I was on the medication, my symptoms were under control. However, today the symptoms have returned. I am experiencing burning during urination, urine leakage, abdominal discomfort, and mood irritation.
