I recently underwent a VDRL test, and the result came back as reactive with a titer of 1:8. I understand this may indicate syphilis. I will be consulting my doctor as well, but I would like to know what the usual course of treatment is for this condition. I have attached my report for your reference. Please guide me.

A reactive VDRL suggests syphilis exposure. Treatment is usually with penicillin. Please consult your doctor or dermatologist for confirmation and treatment. Perform TPHA and RPR.

View allHello Doctor, I recently had a TPHA test, and the results show a reactive obtained value but non reactive units. I am confused and would like to know whether this means the test is positive or negative, and what the final interpretation of the report would be.

I have never had sexual activity. Recently, during treatment for an anal fissure, I got a blood test. The results were: VDRL: Reactive TPHA: 10 (Negative) TPAB: 0.18 (Negative) I have no symptoms apart from the anal fissure, which is now cured. I am worried about these results. Could you please suggest what my next steps should be?
