Hi, I used to consume high levels of alcohol for 10 years. For the past 5 years, I have quit hard liquor but have beer 5 days a week, around 2 bottles of 650 ml each. I have fatty liver grade 1. SGOT is 37 and SGPT is 64. Total bilirubin is 0.6. All other liver parameters are normal. Will this fatty liver grade continue to progress? I swim for an hour 6 days a week, around 400 metres. I have been taking Reheptin 1 tab a day for 6 years.

I am diabetic with an HbA1c level of 7.6 H. My liver function tests show SGPT 60.5 H, ALP 50.2 L, and SGOT 49.7 H. The hepatitis B surface antigen test is reactive. Ultrasound shows the liver is normal in size and shape, but has grade one fatty changes. My HBV DNA quantitative by real time PCR is 116801, and HBeAg is 0.25. My doctor diagnosed me with hepatitis B, but did not prescribe any medication. I am a little confused about my condition and would appreciate an explanation to help clear my doubts. I have been suffering from acne for the past 6 to 7 years. My blood report shows SGOT 38.5, SGPT 52.4, and alkaline phosphatase 294. What does this indicate?

I wanted to ask about ALP in a liver function test. My ALP level came out to be 141. Does this indicate any problem with my liver? Thank you.

ALP shows liver and bile duct health. 141 is mildly high, not serious alone. Can be high in fatty liver, bone growth. Stay hydrated, eat healthy. Repeat LFT, Ultrasound if symptoms appear.
