I'm a 30-year-old male and I've been having some trouble with my BP medication. About a year ago, my blood pressure spiked to 175120 and my doctor prescribed Telma 40 along with another medicine for a week. Over time, I stopped taking Telma 40 and hadn't used it for the last 3 months. Recently, I switched to Prolomet XL 25, but it doesn't seem to suit me. What should I do?

It seems like you are experiencing some difficulties with Prolomet XL 25. Since Telma 40 worked well for you in managing your blood pressure, I would recommend you to consult your doctor for a prescription of Telma 40 again. Additionally, you can also consider adding a diuretic like Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg to your current medication regimen to help control your blood pressure more effectively. Remember to follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and frequency of these medications.

My brother has been feeling some discomfort on the left side of his chest, and the doctor said his ECG is normal, just showing sinus tachycardia. He's really anxious and tends to worry about his health a lot, especially after recovering from COVID. We're wondering about getting an echo done, but the doctor suggested waiting a month. Is it okay to wait that long, or should we consider doing it sooner given his anxiety and constant thinking about his health?

Can delay the echo testing for up to one month after the ECG. It is important to monitor his symptoms during this time. Given his history of anxiety and hypochondria, it may be beneficial for him to consult with a mental health professional to address his concerns and manage his anxiety. It is also important for him to continue following up with his healthcare provider for further evaluation and guidance."

My dad is 65 and just had a pacemaker put in because his heart rate dropped dangerously low. The doctors found two major blockages 95% and 99% and are recommending bypass surgery, but his creatinine level is high at 2.58. They say his kidneys might not handle the surgery well. What are our options here? Also, could you suggest a diet that helps both his heart and kidneys?

cardiology opinion is advised.

Sure, here's a rephrased version of the user's query: I've been having chest pains off and on for a couple of days and got an ECG done. Here's what the results say: Vent rate is 73 bpm, PR interval is 114 ms, QRS duration is 94 ms, QTQTc is 388427 ms, and the PRT axes are 64, 52, and 25. I'm really not sure if these numbers are normal. Should I be taking any special precautions, especially since the pain keeps showing up in different parts of my body at different times?
