I'm 9 weeks pregnant and need to terminate because I'm not married and my boyfriend wants an abortion. Are there any pills I can take for a medical abortion or do I have to get surgery? I really prefer pills since nobody knows about my pregnancy and I want to keep it private. Can you help me figure out my options?

Mifepristone is taken first, and it works by blocking the hormone progesterone, which is necessary for maintaining pregnancy. Misoprostol is taken later and causes the uterus to contract and expel the pregnancy. Medical abortions are typically only recommended for pregnancies up to 10 weeks

I'm planning my wedding and my gynecologist recommended starting on Femovan for six months, beginning on the 5th day of my cycle. My wedding will happen before I've finished all 21 tablets. Is it still going to be effective? Also, is starting on the 5th day the right approach? I really want to be sure it's all good and if it'll work without any other protection.

Starting Femovan on the 5th day of your cycle is a common practice to ensure its effectiveness. As long as you take the pills consistently every day, even if your marriage occurs before completing the full 21 tablets, Femovan should still be effective in preventing pregnancy. It is important to follow your gynecologist's instructions for the best results. Femovan is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing ethinylestradiol and gestodene.

I'm dealing with some pretty heavy and long-lasting bleeding because of my PCOS, and my gynecologist recommended I start taking Diane35 tablets. I'm on my second strip of pills now, and I typically begin with the first tablet in the pack from the fifth day of my period, and then I wait for my cycle to start again once I finish the strip. I've been doing regular walking exercisesabout 45 to 60 minutes, five times a week. But I've noticed that my weight has gone up by 2 kgs in the last two monthsfrom 68 to 70 kgs. My height is 5'4". Could Diane35 be causing this weight gain?

Weight gain can be a side effect of Diane-35, although it does not happen to everyone. It is important to monitor your weight regularly and discuss any concerns with your gynecologist. In the meantime, continue with your regular walking exercise routine as it is beneficial for your overall health.

I'm 22 and haven't had sex in over a year, but I'm having issues with irregular periods. I saw a gynecologist who said I need a blood test and ultrasound to figure out what's going on. She mentioned it might be due to some fat above my uterus. I'm curious, can she find out if I'm a virgin from those tests?

No
