I'm a bit puzzled and could really use some advice. My previous prescription was RE 4.25 and LE 3.75. When I went to Lenskart for new glasses due to scratches on my current pair, they said my right eye power is now 4.5. Given that my power is already high and I don't feel any discomfort, should I actually switch to this new prescription? Also, I've always used regular fiber lenses without the blue ray coating that I got from another store. Is it necessary to switch to blue ray lenses now, especially since I spend the whole day working on a computer? Lastly, I just learned about cylindrical power being different too. Does this mean I need a completely different prescription for my specs?

View allI've been washing my eyes with tap water every few hours lately, but they started burning every time I did it. I just discovered that the Dettol Liquid Handwash I use might not rinse off completely and could be the reason for the burning and irritation in my eyes. I skipped washing my eyes today and haven't experienced any symptoms. Could this soap residue be causing problems for my eyes in the long run?

I'm really worried about my dad. He's 66 and had cataract surgery on both eyes about 5 months ago. His doctor mentioned that he should wear sunglasses for a month whenever he went outside, but it's been 5 months and he still feels really uncomfortable when he steps out, even if it's just for a couple of minutes. At night, he seems fine with the lights, so that's a relief. The doctor said he has dry eyes which might be causing the slow recovery. He's using eye drops three times a day and a gel at night as the doctor advised. He's also been wearing photochromic glasses for the past 4 months and feels okay with them indoors, but as soon as he goes outside, it's really tough for him. I'm just curious when he might be able to go out without feeling the need for sunglasses again because, despite what the doctor said, stepping out even for a short time is hard for him right now. What could be going on?
