I'm a bit worried about a scratch I got from a dog about two days ago. I couldn't get a rabies shot immediately, and I'm planning to get it soon, but it's been over 48 hours now. Will the vaccine still be effective if I get it within 72 hours, or is it too late to prevent rabies?

If you get the rabies shot after 48 hours but before 72 hours of a dog scratch, the vaccine can still be effective. It is ideal to get the rabies vaccine as soon as possible after a potential exposure. The standard regimen for rabies post-exposure prophylaxis involves a series of rabies vaccines, such as Rabipur or Verorab, given on days 0, 3, 7, and 14. Additionally, a dose of rabies immunoglobulin may be administered on day 0 for those with high-risk exposures. It is important to follow the recommended schedule for the vaccine to ensure protection against rabies.

View allI'm really worried about my wife. She was diagnosed with TB in March and started on the standard treatment, but now she's dealing with back and neck pain, and stiffness in both areas. I've had some general physicians suggest getting an X-ray of her spine to check for Pott's spine, while others are saying an MRI of the whole spine or a CT scan of the LS spine might be better. Can you help me understand what might be going on and which specialist we should see? I'm also confused about why she might have spine TB symptoms when she's already on meds for TB in her lungs.
Yes .MRI spine is advised to the patient for evaluating potts spine TB..If TB spine is present pt needs ATT for another 6 months ,since it is extrapulmonary TB.

I'm really confused and worried because it's been two years and my HIV tests are still negative, but I'm experiencing symptoms like nail lines, oral thrush, itchy and painful lips and tongue, swollen lymph nodes in my neck, and a burning and numb sensation in my legs and hands. Could I be a late seroconverter even though my results are negative? What should I do when my symptoms don't match the test results?
You should test for HIV viral load, and CD4 count.

I'm really worried about this breast lump that started during my pregnancy. It turned into sinuses, and the shape changed too. They did an ultrasound and found acute chronic mastitis, but even after antibiotics, nothing helped. Now they've told me it's breast TB, and I'm on medicine for that. Could this really be tuberculosis, or is there a chance it could be something else? I'm really looking for some clarity here, doc.
if you have any other symptoms like fever , evening rise of temperature and mainly the blood test would have confirmed if it was a tuberculosis
