I'm 21 and my hair's been getting really thin lately. It's to the point where, if I put oil on, it looks kinda like I'm balding, but without oil, it seems more or less normal. My family's hair history doesn't include baldness, so I'm confused. Could it be a lack of protein, moisture, or is DHT the culprit here? I really want to get my hair thick again. Also, I was wearing a helmet a lot recently, and I think that made my hair dry and rough, turning it somewhat brown. I tried oiling it, and it's a bit silkier now, but still thin. Why is this happening, and how can I make my hair thick again?
