I'm a bit worried because my LDL cholesterol level is 187, but all my other tests like ECG, 2D echo, blood, and urine have come back normal. What steps should I take to bring my LDL down?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
To lower your LDL cholesterol level of 187, you can start by making lifestyle changes such as following a healthy diet and engaging in regular exercise. Additionally, you can consider taking medication to help lower your LDL cholesterol. One commonly prescribed medication for this purpose is Atorvastatin, which is taken at a starting dose of 10-20 mg once daily. It is important to consult with your healthcare provider to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your specific situation.

View allI'm trying to figure out the difference between Telma and Covamlo. Is Covamlo just Telma with something else added, or is it a completely different medication? I'm a bit confused about whether they contain the same things. Can you help clarify this for me?
Telma and Covamlo are both medications used to treat hypertension, but they contain different active ingredients. Telma contains the active ingredient Telmisartan, while Covamlo contains a combination of Amlodipine and Telmisartan. So, Covamlo does have Telma salt (Telmisartan) along with Amlodipine. The combination of Amlodipine and Telmisartan in Covamlo helps in better control of blood pressure compared to Telma alone.

I've been having this chest pain on the left side whenever I take a deep breath, and it's been going on for about three months now. I got an X-ray and a CT scan with contrast done, and I've already shown the reports to a pulmonologist three times. He suggested I talk to an orthopedic specialist. I did, but all I got was some painkillers, and they haven't helped at all. Could you please advise me on what might be going on or what I should do next?
Orthopedic opinion is advised to the patient.
