I'm concerned about what's happening with the lymph node under my left jaw. It's swollen, it hurts, and seems to be getting bigger each day. I'm not sure what might be causing this. Can you help me understand what's going on?

View allI'm dealing with nasal polyps in both of my nasal cavities and it's been really frustrating. I'm not sure what the best treatment options are. Can you guide me on what I should consider or expect when dealing with nasal polyps? And is there anything specific that has worked well for others or is usually recommended? It's been affecting my day-to-day life and I'd really appreciate some advice.
The treatment for nasal polyps typically involves the use of intranasal corticosteroids to reduce inflammation and shrink the polyps. I recommend using Flonase (fluticasone) nasal spray, 2 sprays in each nostril once daily. In addition, you can also use Nasacort (triamcinolone) nasal spray, 1-2 sprays in each nostril once daily. These medications can help improve symptoms and reduce the size of the nasal polyps.

I have DNS and trouble breathing through my nose, no sneezing though. Can you check the CT scan I attached and let me know if I really need septoplasty surgery?
A deviated septum, causing nasal obstruction and breathing difficulty, may or may not require surgery. A CT scan can help assess the severity of the deviation and guide treatment decisions. If the deviation is significant and causing symptoms like difficulty breathing, chronic sinus infections, or nasal obstruction impacting quality of life, septoplasty surgery might be recommended. However, if the deviation is mild and not causing significant symptoms, surgery might not be necessary. A consultation with an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist is crucial to determine the best course of action based on your specific situation and the CT scan results.
