I'm curious about something I've noticed on my right wrist. When I press down on the vein, there's this lump or bubble that pops out. It doesn't hurt at all, but I'm really wondering what it could be. Could this be something to worry about? Any idea what might be going on?

Difficult to tell without palpating the lump in a physical consult, but it could be a ganglion cyst. It is harmless, unless compressing any nerves. If you have no symptoms, there should be no cause for concern.

View allI'm really concerned about something and need some advice. A few months ago, after a hospital stay, the nurse removed the drip syringe from my hand, and they said the vein swelling would disappear in a few days. But it's been over 4 months now, and my vein is still swollen. Sometimes it hurts, and my hand often feels like it's going numb. Could you suggest what I should do next and which type of specialist I should see?
Consuming water stored overnight in a copper vessel is a traditional Ayurvedic practice believed to have health benefits. Copper has antimicrobial properties, which can help purify water. You can continue this practice 365 days a year, including during the rainy season. However, ensure the copper vessel is clean and dry before filling it with water. Also, change the water daily to avoid bacterial growth. Regularly polish the copper vessel to maintain its antimicrobial properties.

I've had swelling in my lower leg near the ankle for about five years now, and I've also noticed some numbness around the last two toes on my left leg. I'm currently taking Losartan H as a maintenance dose. My blood pressure is normal, and I don't have diabetes. Could you help me figure out what's going on and what I should do next?
Long standing edema in the leg needs a proper examination. Oedema in the legs can be majorly due to some heart problem or kidney damage. Since you have both blood pressure and diabetes, it becomes necessary to check the functional ability of both these organs. You can undergo a thorough examination of kidney function and of heart

I'm really worried about my father-in-law's feet. Last month, he used a scrubber on them, and since then, he's developed these boil-like things on his skin. He's tried some meds, but they haven't worked, and now it's gotten worse. They're now like blisters, and there's some liquid coming out. The doctor said it's the first stage of gangrene. Do you think this can be treated with medication? What should we do next?
To address the infection and prevent further progression, your father-in-law may need a combination of antibiotics and wound care. The specific antibiotics and treatment plan will depend on the severity of the infection and the underlying cause. It is important to follow the doctor's recommendations closely. In this case, it is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional, such as a wound care specialist or a dermatologist, for a thorough evaluation and personalized treatment plan. Topical antibiotics and wound dressings may be prescribed to help heal the affected areas. Additionally, oral antibiotics may be necessary to treat the infection from within. Please ensure that your father-in-law receives the appropriate medical care as soon as possible to prevent further complications.
