I'm currently on metolar, and I've been wondering if it's okay to have garlic on an empty stomach in the morning. Could it affect the medicine or my health in any way?

View allI can hear my heartbeat when I lay down, and sometimes my shirt even moves with it. I can actually see it happening. My ECG came back normal, so I'm curious about what's going on. What could be causing this?
When you hear your heart sound when lying down and notice movement of your t-shirt along with it, it could be due to a condition called pulsatile tinnitus. This can occur when there is an increase in blood flow near the ear, causing you to hear your heartbeat. In this case, you can try using a white noise machine or background music to help mask the sound. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you may need to consult with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.

I've been having these heart palpitations lately, and honestly, they really freak me out. I saw a doctor and felt better for a while, but it seems like they still happen about once a month. The last episode was pretty intenseI was just sleeping, and suddenly it felt like my heart was racing around 200 beats per minute, maybe even more. What could be causing this, and should I be worried?
Hlo Sriram, it sounds like you are experiencing episodes of tachycardia, where your heart beats very fast. This can be concerning and may require further evaluation. One possible medication that can be prescribed for such episodes is Metoprolol (brand name: Lopressor) at a starting dose of 25-50mg twice daily. However, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

I'm experiencing some pain near my chest, specifically above my heart, and sometimes it even shifts to the right side of that area. It's been going on for about two months now. I'm not really sure if this could be related to a heart issue, a nerve problem, or maybe something like gas. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
