I'm currently seeing a dermatologist for some acne scarring and I've been taking sotret 20mg for the past four months and it's really helped with the scars and my face isn't as oily. But I've started noticing that my hair is thinning, my eyes burn a lot, I get nosebleeds, stomach upsets, hair fall, and even back pain sometimes. Are these the side effects of sotret? And if they are, will they go away once I stop the medication? Will my hair eventually get back to its original thickness, and how long might that take? I mentioned all these symptoms to my dermatologist, but she doesn't really think they're caused by the medication. Any thoughts on what I should do?

The symptoms you're experiencing, such as hair thinning, eye burn, nose bleeding, stomach upset, hair fall, and back pain, are common side effects of Sotret (Isotretinoin), and they are likely to subside once you stop taking the medication, with hair regrowth potentially taking several months to a year or more.

Candid B lotion, containing clotrimazole and betamethasone, can be used on the scalp for dandruff, but prolonged use or excessive application may lead to hair loss, itching, or other scalp issues, so use it as directed by your doctor and monitor your scalp's response.
