I'm dealing with 90% vitiligo and it seems like even a minute in the sun makes my skin turn red, itchy, and it feels like a sunburn. If my skin's wet, the sunburn gets really bad and blisters start forming. I'm worried about this and would love your advice on what medication I might need. What can I do to help with this?

Immediate Action*

  1. Hydrate: Drink water to help your body absorb the excess glucose.
  2. Physical Activity: Engage in light physical activity, like a short walk, to help lower your blood sugar levels.

Diagnosis and Treatment Advice*

A blood sugar level of 220 mgdL after 2 hours of eating may indicate:

  1. Prediabetes: Your body is having trouble managing blood sugar levels.
  2. Type 2 Diabetes: Your body is not producing enough insulin or is resistant to insulin.

Your doctor may recommend:

  1. Lifestyle Changes: Dietary modifications, increased physical activity, and weight management.

  3. Insulin Therapy: If oral medications are not effective or if your blood sugar levels are severely elevated.

I'm struggling with some pimples and the dark marks they leave on my face. I'm really looking for advice on how to deal with them and prevent more from popping up. What can I do to tackle this issue?

To treat pimples and dark marks on your face, you can use a combination of topical treatments. You can use a benzoyl peroxide gel (such as Oxy-5) for the pimples. Apply a thin layer on the affected areas once or twice daily. For the dark marks, you can use a topical retinoid cream (such as Retin-A) to help fade the discoloration. Apply a pea-sized amount on the dark marks at night. Additionally, using a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily can help prevent further darkening of the marks.

I'm dealing with pimples and marks on my face and I'm currently using tivenca gel in the afternoon and at night, plus peroclin gel in the evening. I'm curious about something though when I apply the tivenca gel at night and leave it on while I sleep, then wash my face with tone n glow face wash in the morning, am I somehow reducing the effectiveness of the tivenca gel? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

I've had this painless rash on the head of my penis for the last month that's sometimes itchy. It keeps disappearing and then coming back. About six weeks ago, I had unprotected sex. Could this be a sexually transmitted disease?

It is recommended to get tested for STDs to rule out any infections. In the meantime, you can use an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole 1% twice a day on the affected area for 2 weeks. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
