I'm dealing with a constant fever that hovers around 99 to 100 degrees and it's been more than a month now. I've had all the tests done and the only thing that came up was a slight liver enlargement. Besides that, I'm really struggling with weakness, headaches, body aches, dizziness, lower abdomen pain, and severe leg pain. Could you please offer some advice on what's going on and what steps I should take next?

Since no specific cause has been identified in the reports, it is important to consider a broad differential diagnosis. Given your symptoms and the presence of liver enlargement, it may be helpful to consider a trial of antipyretic medication such as Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for fever and pain relief. Additionally, ensuring an adequate intake of fluids and rest is important for recovery. It is also recommended to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management, as persistent symptoms warrant a thorough assessment to rule out any underlying conditions that may require specific treatment.

View allI'm experiencing a sharp pain near my left shoulder every time I take a deep breath. I tried using a pain-killing spray, but it didn't seem to help. Should I be worried about this, or is there something else I can do to relieve the pain?
Could be due to inflammation of the muscles or tissues in that area. I recommend taking ibuprofen (e.g., Advil) 400mg to 800mg every 6 hours as needed for pain relief and inflammation. Additionally, applying a topical anti-inflammatory gel like diclofenac (e.g., Voltaren) to the affected area can also help. Make sure to rest the affected shoulder and avoid activities that worsen the pain. If the pain persists or worsens, consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.

I drank 3 cans of Red Bull hoping to get through my back-to-back exams since it's my final semester, but now I'm regretting it. I had one can in the evening, the next at around 11 PM, and the last one this morning at about 5:30 AM. After that third one, I started feeling really nauseous and ended up vomiting just an hour before my exam. I realized I mostly had them on an empty stomach. Even though I felt somewhat better after puking, it's been a while, and I'm still feeling weak and a bit off. I'm scared and definitely not touching Red Bull again. What should I do now, and what should I avoid to feel better?
Consuming 3 cans of Red Bull in a short period, especially on an empty stomach, can lead to caffeine toxicity, causing nausea, vomiting, and weakness; to recover, drink plenty of water and electrolyte-rich fluids, like coconut water or sports drinks, to replenish lost salts; eat small, frequent meals of bland foods, like crackers or toast; avoid caffeine and energy drinks for a while; and if your weakness persists, or you experience severe symptoms like chest pain, rapid heartbeat, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.

I'm a bit worried because my pet dog just bit me and the wound is bleeding. The dog is up to date with all its vaccinations, but I'm still concerned. Do I really need to go for a rabies shot, or am I safe since the dog is vaccinated?
If your pet dog is fully vaccinated against rabies, the risk of rabies transmission is low. However, it is still recommended to clean the wound thoroughly with soap and water, apply an antiseptic, and monitor for any signs of infection. Additionally, it is advisable to consult a healthcare provider for further evaluation.
