I'm dealing with this constant vaginal discharge, like this clear mucus, that just makes my underwear really wet by the end of the day. It's super uncomfortable, especially when I'm traveling, and there's this strange smell to it. This started about a year back, after a time when I had sex with my boyfriend, and we were already sexually active before that too. I'm just not sure what's going on or what kind of treatment or precautions I should be taking. Could you help me figure this out?

For IUI, a follicle size of 2.1 cm on the 14th day is within the expected range. However, the endometrium thickness of 4.8 mm is slightly below the ideal range for IUI.

Follicle Size

  1. Ideal size: 18-24 mm for IUI, but 2.1 cm (21 mm) is still within range.
  2. Monitoring: Your doctor will continue to monitor follicle growth to determine the optimal time for IUI.

Endometrium Thickness

  1. Ideal thickness: 6-10 mm for IUI.
  2. Current thickness: 4.8 mm is slightly below the ideal range.
  3. Waiting for 16th day: Your doctor's advice to wait for the 16th day to reassess endometrium thickness is reasonable.

Next Steps

  1. Follow your doctor's advice: Wait for the 16th day and reassess endometrium thickness.
  2. Continue monitoring follicle growth: Ensure the follicle is ready for IUI.
  3. Discuss trigger shot options: If your endometrium thickness doesn't reach the ideal range, discuss trigger shot options with your doctor to stimulate ovulation.

Stay positive, and I hope everything goes smoothly with your IUI procedure!

I'm really concerned about my mom. She's in a lot of pain in her abdomen and her menstrual bleeding is pretty heavy. Her hemoglobin level came back at 7.8 gm, which seems low. The sonography shows a bulky uterus. What could be causing all these symptoms? Do you think she might need surgery, or could it be treated with medication?

Can be indicative of conditions such as fibroids, adenomyosis, or endometriosis. The treatment will depend on the underlying cause. In the case of fibroids or adenomyosis, medications such as Tranexamic acid can help with heavy menstrual bleeding. For pain relief, your mother can take Ibuprofen. If the symptoms are severe and affecting her quality of life, surgery may be considered. It is important to consult with a gynecologist for a proper evaluation and treatment plan.

I've been able to insert two fingers into my vagina and I'm wondering if that means my hymen might be broken. Is it true that if the hymen breaks, there should be noticeable bleeding?

Its possible to insert two fingers into the vagina without the hymen breaking, as the hymen can stretch or be flexible. The breaking of the hymen doesnt always result in bleeding, as it can vary from person to person. Some may experience minimal bleeding, while others might not have any at all.
