I'm dealing with gallstones and some gastric issues, and I've been taking Ursocol 300mg twice a day. I'm wondering if there might be any side effects if I continue this for an extended period, like 6 months to a year. Any insights?

View allI'm taking Pantocid DSR every morning on an empty stomach, but my chest starts burning whenever I eat something. Sometimes I even get severe pain in my chest and back because of gas, and I feel like I might vomit. Eno helps a bit, but it's not a long-term fix. What do you recommend I do?
You can start by making some diet changes like 1. Avoid oily and spicy foods. 2. Avoid foods that are known to cause the problem to you. 3. Instead of having 3 huge meals a day, have 5 smaller meals. 4. Drink one glass of water every hour or so even if you aren't thirsty. 5. Let there be at least 2 hours gap between dinner and sleep. 6. Walking for about 20 minutes everyday.

I've just gotten my LFT and Lipid profile test results, and I'm kind of worried because the numbers seem high. My total bilirubin is at 2.1 mgdl, direct bilirubin is 0.5 mgdl, and the indirect bilirubin is 1.6 mgdl. Can you help me understand what these high values mean? Should I be concerned?
Based on these results, you may benefit from taking Ursodeoxycholic acid to help lower your bilirubin levels.

I'm having trouble finding Silybon 140 that was prescribed for me to take three times a day. Would it be okay if I instead take two doses of Silybon 70, also three times a day? I'm a bit worried about making sure I get the right amount of medication.
-Yes, you can use two Silybon 70 tablets three times a day as a substitute for Silybon 140, as the total dosage will be the same. However, it's always best to confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before making any changes.
