I'm dealing with Granular pharyngitis and my throat hurts a lot, almost once every one or two months. It's super painful and usually takes around a week to feel better. I had my tonsils taken out like 10-12 years ago. Is there any way to get rid of this for good? Or if not, what's the best next step I can take?

View allI'm experiencing a burning feeling in my left nostril, and alongside it, there's a mild ache on the upper lid of my eye. There's also this pain around my left eyebrow that's been nagging me. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?
It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of sinusitis, which is inflammation of the sinuses. The burning sensation in your left nostril, mild ache on the upper lid of your eye, and pain in your left eyebrow are all common symptoms of sinusitis. I recommend taking a decongestant like Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) 30mg every 4-6 hours as needed for nasal congestion. Additionally, you can take ibuprofen (Advil) 400mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain relief. Make sure to stay hydrated and consider using a saline nasal spray to help with congestion. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

Doctor I just found out I have tonsils and I'm thinking about getting surgery to remove them. How long will it take to recover after the surgery? Will I be able to talk normally right away? I work night shifts and can't really take time off so I'm worried about how this will affect my job. How well does recovery usually go?
