View allI was wondering what the difference is between scalp psoriasis and dandruff. I'm a bit worried because I'm dealing with some issues on my scalp and can't tell if it's just dandruff or something more like psoriasis. I've attached a few images hoping you could help me figure it out. Could you take a look and let me know your thoughts?
Scalp psoriasis is a skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches on the scalp, while dandruff is a common condition marked by flaking of the scalp skin. To treat scalp psoriasis, you can use medicated shampoos containing coal tar, salicylic acid, or ketoconazole. In addition, topical corticosteroids or calcipotriene can be applied to the affected areas.
