I'm dealing with ringworm in my groin, forehead, and near my eye. The one in the groin has been particularly persistent since I got pregnant 8 months ago, and it's just not going away. I havent taken any oral meds because Im breastfeeding my 8-month-old. I've been using Terbinaforce Plus Cream and Fintop Ebernet, but I'm worried they're not enough. What can I do? Is there something else safer to try while nursing?

Ringworm (Tinea) can be challenging to treat, especially while breastfeeding.
Current Treatment
Terbinaforce Plus Cream and Fintop + Ebernet are topical treatments that can help manage symptoms. However, the continuous presence of ringworm in your groin area suggests that the treatment might not be fully effective.
Additional Measures
- Maintain good hygiene: Wash the affected areas with soap and water, and dry thoroughly.
- Change clothes and bedding regularly: Prevent the spread of fungal spores.
- Avoid sharing personal items: Towels, clothing, and other personal items can spread the infection.
Breastfeeding-Friendly Oral Medications
Consult your doctor about oral medications that are safe while breastfeeding, such as:
- Griseofulvin: An antifungal medication that can be used while breastfeeding.
- Fluconazole: A single-dose oral medication that can be used to treat ringworm.
Consult a Doctor
Schedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss:
- Adjusting your treatment plan: Explore alternative topical treatments or oral medications.
- Ensuring the infection doesn't spread: Get guidance on preventing the spread of ringworm to other areas.
Remember to consult your doctor before making any changes to your treatment plan.

View allI've had this semi-circle shaped rash for about 45 days now, and it's red and itchy when I touch it. It's right between my neck and chest, and I'm noticing it might be getting a bit drier. Is this just a common skin issue, or should I be more concerned about it?
The semi-circle shaped skin rash that is red, itchy, and situated between your neck and chest for 4-5 days may be a case of ringworm, also known as tinea corporis. To treat this, you can use an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole 1% twice a day for 2-4 weeks. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry. If the rash does not improve or worsens, it is advisable to consult a doctor for further evaluation and management.

I'm dealing with a persistent fungal infection on my face that's been bothering me for about a year. I was on itraconazole capsules from Dr. Reddy's and clotrimazole ointment for three months, and it seemed to clear up for a bit. But as soon as I finished the medication, it came back within a week. I'm an MBBS student at PIMS in Jalandhar, and I'm wondering if there are any injectable options available for this?
You have to continue the same treatment for a longer dulation like 45 -60 days, visit Dematologist for the same

I have a chicken pox scar on my nose that looks like a pit is there any surgery to fix it? How much would it cost and how long does the procedure take? Also, how many follow-up visits would I need?
Yes, depressed chickenpox scars can be treated surgically—cost and sessions vary; consult a dermatologist.
