I'm dealing with a runny nose that mostly acts up at night, making it hard for me to get any sleep. It seems to go away only when I take medication, but it keeps coming back, especially during winter and rainy seasons. Interestingly, I don't face this issue in summer. Do you have any advice on how I can manage this better?

View allI'm a bit anxious after getting my IgE test done, and I'm really hoping to understand if the results are within the normal range. Could you let me know if everything looks okay? Also, if there are any medications I should be considering, I'd really appreciate your guidance.
IgE tests measure the levels of immunoglobulin E in your blood, which is often elevated in allergic conditions. Normal IgE levels can vary depending on the laboratory, but generally, levels below 100 IUmL are considered normal. If your IgE levels are elevated, it may indicate an allergic condition. If your IgE levels are high and you are experiencing symptoms of allergies, your doctor may prescribe antihistamines such as Cetirizine (10mg once daily) or Loratadine (10mg once daily) to help manage your symptoms. It's important to follow your doctor's recommendations for treatment.

I've been dealing with really frequent colds and sneezing fits, like, a couple of times a week, and it usually sticks around for a day or two. I'm also managing asthma with a beclate inhaler. Any idea on how I can get this under control?
Hello Kiran, your symptoms of frequent cold and sneezing may indicate allergic rhinitis, which is often associated with asthma. I recommend consulting your doctor to evaluate triggers and consider adding an antihistamine or nasal spray to your treatment plan. Keeping your asthma well-controlled is also essential.
