I'm dealing with some chest pain and recently found out my blood pressure's been high at 14090 for the past two weeks, plus I've got high cholesterol. My doctor prescribed Rosuvas 10mg for the cholesterol but didn't give me anything for the blood pressure. Is it okay if I take EMBETA XR 50 along with Rosuvas just for a few days to manage the BP?

It is not advisable to take EMBETA XR 50 (Metoprolol) without consulting your doctor, especially since you have high blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that helps lower blood pressure and heart rate. It is important to have your blood pressure monitored regularly while taking this medication. If your doctor did not prescribe a blood pressure medication initially, it is best to follow up with them to discuss the need for adding EMBETA XR 50 to your current treatment plan.

Is it gas or heart attack?
Heart attack feels like pressure on chest cannot be relieved by antacids, associated with breathlessness. One can not entirely differentiate chest pain due to gas from chest pain due to heart attack based on symptoms only. You may need to visit a hospital and get evaluated by a health-care provider.

I've been noticing something a bit worrying lately sometimes it feels like my heart just sinks for a brief moment, less than a minute, and then things feel normal again. I kind of ignored it at first, but it happened again today, and now I'm a bit concerned. This has been going on occasionally over the past 34 months, and I've counted around 56 times when this has happened. Do you think this could be a sign of a minor attack, or is it something else I should be looking into? What kind of tests would you recommend I get done?
cardiac markers and ecg are advised..
