I'm dealing with some pretty bad swelling just below the right side of my jaw, and I'm wondering if it's because of tonsilitis. Is this something serious? The pain in my throat is terrible, and swallowing is almost unbearable right now. I've started on augmentin, reswas, and hexidime gargle on my doctor's advice. Any ideas on how long this swelling might last or if I should be more worried?

View allSo, I'm on day 12 after my tonsillectomy and up until yesterday, it seemed like almost all the scabs were gone and my throat looked mostly pink. But today, I've noticed that this white stuff is showing up again. Should I be worried about that or is it normal?
It is normal to see some white patches reappear in your throat after a tonsillectomy, even after the scabs have fallen off. This could be due to the healing process and is usually not a cause for concern. However, if you experience severe pain, bleeding, or difficulty swallowing, it is important to contact your healthcare provider. In the meantime, you can continue to manage your symptoms with pain relief medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) as prescribed by your doctor.

I'm having this issue where my left ear gets really cold whenever I'm in air conditioning or when it's winter, but my right ear feels totally normal. There's also this weird continuous twitch in my left ear during those times. Do you know what might be causing this?

I'm a bit worried because during dinner I think a piece of food might've gone down my windpipe. I didn't have a choking fit or anything, but I did feel like at some point the food left my windpipe. Now it's got me wondering because I still feel like there's something stuck in my throat. Breathing and talking are fine, but I keep coughing since it feels like something's in there. Is it possible I might've just coughed it up and swallowed it, and my throat's just irritated?
Yes you are right, that coul be because of irritation nothing else, because windpipe cannot accomodate anything other than air, hence no need to worry, consume warm foods untill you feel better.
