I'm dealing with this stubborn fungal-like infection on my buttocks for a couple of months now. I've been using an ointment to try and get rid of it, but it's just not going away. It hasn't spread, which is a relief, but it's still there like it just won't budge. What could be the reason it's not healing? Is there something else I should be doing or using to finally get rid of it?

Persistent fungal-like infection in the buttocks can be frustrating.

Possible Causes:

  1. Candidiasis: Fungal infection caused by Candida.
  2. Dermatophytosis: Fungal infection caused by dermatophytes.
  3. Intertrigo: Skin fold dermatitis, often caused by fungal or bacterial infections.

Next Steps:

  1. Consult a dermatologist: Get a professional diagnosis and guidance.
  2. Re-evaluate the ointment: Ensure the ointment is suitable for the specific fungal infection.
  3. Consider oral antifungals: If the infection is severe or persistent, oral medication may be necessary.

Additional Measures:

  1. Keep the area clean and dry: Wash with soap and water, and dry thoroughly.
  2. Avoid tight clothing: Reduce friction and moisture accumulation.
  3. Use an antifungal powder: Apply a powder containing ingredients like clotrimazole or miconazole to help control the infection.

I'm dealing with a nail issue and it's actually gotten worse after taking fluconazole and glevo. I've also heard about something called oxychomycosui disease and I'm kind of worried if it might be related. Could you help me understand what's going on and what I should do next?

Treatment for nail issues and onychomycosis disease can include the use of antifungal medications. In this case, since the nail issue worsened after fluconazole and levofloxacin (Glevo), it is important to consider alternative antifungal medications. Additionally, topical antifungal medications like Ciclopirox (brand name Penlac) nail lacquer can be applied daily. It is important to continue treatment consistently as prescribed by your healthcare provider to see improvement in the nail condition.

I'm really struggling with jock itch and it's been a nightmare for the past 23 years. I've seen countless doctors, and they've all told me to use creams like Panderm, Dermikem, or to take Fluconazole tablets. They seem to work while I'm using them, but as soon as I stop, the problem comes roaring back. The skin on my inner thighs gets super thin and crazy itchy. These creams help temporarily, but the symptoms always come back. On top of this, I've gained some weight, and my face looks puffy and swollen. I'm also noticing stretch marks on my shoulders and knees, and I just feel tired and weak all the time. I'm really in a tough spot here. What can I do to finally get rid of this? Its becoming unbearable.
