I'm experiencing some pain when I press on my ribs, stretch, and even sometimes when I breathe. It all started about a month ago with pain in my right shoulder, and then it spread down to my lower rib. It's particularly bad when I'm in certain sleeping positions. I'm 40 and I've been feeling really weak and feeble lately. What should I do about this?

View allI'm dealing with costochondritis and I'm really feeling some pain around my rib. I've noticed a small lump above the skin on my rib too. Is this possibly a sign of cancer? I'm quite worried.
Its understandable to be concerned, but costochondritis typically causes rib pain due to inflammation of the cartilage, not cancer. The small lump you noticed could be a benign cyst or muscle-related, but its always a good idea to get it checked by a doctor to rule out any other concerns and get peace of mind.

I'm worried because my blood test showed high uric acid levels. Should I book an appointment with a general physician, or do I need to see an MD specializing in this?

I'm experiencing some swelling in my feet and kidneys, and my blood test came back showing slightly higher uric acid levels with an ESR of 40. Could you help me understand what these results might mean? I'm a bit worried about what could be causing this.
