I'm feeling a bit worried because for about a month now, my turbinates have been enlarged, and it's been slightly uncomfortable to breathe. I'm already on medication, but I'm concerned about what to do if the situation gets worse. Could you advise me on the next steps?

My son was diagnosed with glue ear and the doctor recommended surgery. Is there any way to treat it with medication instead or are there other options we could try before going for surgery? I'm really worried about putting him through an operation.
Glue ear often resolves on its own. Try nasal decongestants, antihistamines, or wait 3 months if mild. Surgery (grommet insertion) is advised only if persistent or affecting hearing/speech.
